Red Shoes Ballet at Tempe PAC : A photographic diary of the 2011 Red Shoes Ballet... * NOTE new images added (June 14-15) are on page 7... gallery will close in a few weeks so make your choices and order soon! * *** Basics of ordering: When you tick the buy tab, you will have the option to crop... be careful... some image will indicate "needs cropping" this will change the photo! In all cases, the images are set at their BEST RATIO as determined during post processing... be selective in "adjusting" crops. 2. images with borders (white or light grey) will print with those borders (as seen in the buy thumbnail)... not all images have borders. 3. If you adjust crop photographs with borders, keep in mind you may lose one side (border) if the ratio isn't compatible. 4. For best results ( IMO ) select metallic or glossy paper for b&w and selective colored images... this will really bring out color and contrast. 5. Diffused, or images with light masking (example #4 Charlotte) I would suggest the luster papers. Eaton County Historic Sites : Photographs of the Eaton County (MI) Historic Sites, Summer 2011. The exhibit "Historic Markers of Eaton County" is now open at the Courthouse Square Museum, in the 1885 courthouse, downtown Charlotte Michigan. The exhibit runs untill September of 2012. ( Exhibit photographs of 35 historic locations with site narratives on display, main floor of the courthouse museum) With over 200 photographs, in the collection... some locations have multiple images posted here... the remaining photographs will be archived for future use. Charlotte Fire Runs 2011 : In the aftermath of the first snow storm (Nov 30th.) of the season...the CFD&RA had dozens of downed power and phone lines to deal with, also a morning garage fire to snuff out. ***In an ongoing project to document and record life in and around Charlotte... One goal was to photograph the CFD in action. The Charlotte Fire Department, is one of the most iconic institutions in our community. Potterville Fire Department Response : Potterville Benton Township Fire Department responds to a fully involved vehicular fire, on the shoulder of Lansing Rd Potterville MI. Fire occurred around 6:55 pm on August 2, 2011 and was quickly extinguished. To the best of my knowledge there were no injuries. As can be seen in photograph #2 this was not just a engine fire! musicvideo : Sam Davis ( Potterville MI Samdavisproductions) shooting a music video by the group Light in August at Mikes Family Dinner in Dimondale MI. Sam has been working in video for that last several years and now has moved into a new genre, music videos. These are some still shots taken during filming. The group, is performing "Khalea" their newest single, which tells the story of a young couple and missed opportunities. The dinners motif... coffee cups hanging from the ceiling, framed photographs, paintings and "dinner" ambiance are key elements in the video.
